Nordic ConnectWhy an agency ended up writing its own software.
Nordic Media does creative and marketing work for clients in and around Edmonton: content production, social media management, campaigns and the reporting that has to follow them.
Running that work meant one tool for analytics, another for scheduling posts, another for texting clients, a calendar somewhere else, and a spreadsheet to reconcile it all into something a client would actually read. Nordic Connect is the answer to that: one workspace per client where the numbers, the content and the conversations describe the same client and report into the same place.
It is used by the agency's own team on behalf of its clients. There is no public sign-up and nothing is sold from this website — a workspace is set up by Nordic Media when it takes on the work.
How we work with client accounts
The agency does not hold client passwords. Every social account Nordic Connect touches is connected by the person who owns it, on that platform's own consent screen, granting only the permissions the agreed work needs — and they can revoke it at any time. What that means on each platform is set out in full on the platforms page.
Each client's data lives in its own isolated database schema, and the agency enables only the modules that client has asked for. Nothing is published to a client's accounts that a person has not written and confirmed.
Where things run
Nordic Connect runs on Cloudflare's network with a managed PostgreSQL database, and uses Twilio and SendGrid for messaging, and Anthropic's Claude for the drafting and summary features. Nordic Media is established in Alberta, Canada and handles personal information under PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA; the providers and the places data is stored are listed in the Privacy Policy.
